What do "Governing Documents" mean to a HOA Community such as Stoneybrook Cottages?
The intent of our Governing Documents:
To insure quiet enjoyment for the residents;
To minimize problems and expenses for the association;
And to provide for the architectural integrity of the neighborhood.
Hopefully members can appreciate that Board members volunteer their time in overseeing our HOA instead of using our dues to employ a third party for submittals and enforcement whenever complaints are reported to the Board .
All members should be aware of our restrictive covenants and architectural standards. A copy of our current Bylaws is available by request to any member.
Members are advised to consult our architectural control guidelines FIRST should you have a CONCERN on a current neighboring property appearance concern or QUESTION should you be doing outside changes/ work/additions to your property. Doing any exterior work (Property Changes such as a fence addition) without approval that is reported/found to be in violation after completion , the HOA Board will be forced to spend time and resources to follow up on these potential violations and seek remedy of the situation from that homeowner.
